Job Description:

This position serves as the primary liaison between our customers and our service department. The Service Writer is crucial in addressing our customers’ equipment repair needs efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by effectively managing customer needs and inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date computerized customer profile information to streamline service processes.
  • Monitor customer records to identify regular scheduled servicing requirements and anticipate future work needs.
  • Generate repair cost estimates, including logging needed parts and estimating repair times.
  • Schedule the most appropriate Service Technicians for each job based on expertise and availability.
  • Communicate all relevant information regarding costs, parts, and work details and assign Technicians to customers.
  • Arrange appointments with customers and ensure timely communication throughout the repair process.
  • Meet with customers to discuss their requirements and accurately relay them to the Service Technicians.
  • Contact customers to inform them of any additional work required, providing details and discussing extra costs as needed.
  • Enter repair job details into the company’s network and prepare clear and concise repair instructions for Technicians.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a parts department, preferably within an equipment dealership.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Possession of a valid Driver’s License.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, reflecting our commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset, dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction with every interaction.
  • Effective time management skills, enabling you to prioritize tasks efficiently.
